Host Hammad Chaudhry travels the globe to meet the legendary designers and engineers behind Bugatti, Rolls-Royce, Tesla and Nissan, uncovering how imagination became some of the world's most iconic machines and asking a deeper question: why has the automobile captured us for more than a century?
Because this story is bigger than cars. The automobile has built industries, connected communities, opened new frontiers and given generations something deeply human: freedom, identity and adventure.
That question eventually leads home to Western Australia, where the global story becomes personal. From four-wheel drives and motorsport to classics, modified cars and everyday enthusiasts, we discover a community shaped by the same passion.
From the people who created the world's greatest cars to the people who keep that passion alive, this is a celebration of the automobile and our enduring love for it.

WESTSIDE AUTO - THE 4X4 EXPEDITION
It starts inside the Westside Auto service centre. A LandCruiser is being prepared. Suspension checked. Gear loaded. Recovery equipment fitted. The final touches go on before the Westside Auto branding is applied. But this isn't just another four-wheel drive heading bush.
It's the beginning of a mission to bring WA's 4x4 community together.
The LandCruiser rolls out of Westside Auto and heads for the open road. As the city disappears behind it, the landscape changes. Bitumen becomes gravel. Gravel becomes dirt. The journey pushes deeper into Western Australia.
Along the way, we explore something bigger than the vehicle itself. Why does WA have such a deep love affair with the 4x4?
Because here, four-wheel driving isn't just a hobby. It's part of the DNA of Western Australia. It's the vehicle that takes families camping on the weekend. The vehicle that gets workers into some of the most remote parts of the state. The vehicle that gets us onto beaches, through the bush and into places most people will never see. And most importantly, it's created a community.
Then the Westside Auto LandCruiser reaches its destination. Waiting on the horizon are 4x4s from across WA. LandCruisers. Patrols. Defenders. Hiluxes. Old rigs. New rigs. Modified builds. Weekend warriors. One by one, they fire up.
What began with one Westside Auto LandCruiser becomes a convoy. Together, they head off-road for the final expedition - through sand, dirt, water crossings and some of WA's most spectacular country.
Eventually, the engines shut down. The vehicles circle the campsite. The fire is lit. Chairs come out. Stories are shared and a cold one is cracked under the Western Australian sky.
Different people. Different vehicles. One shared obsession. This is WA 4x4 culture. And Westside Auto didn't just document it. They brought it together.
Partner with FocusTV to bring Automotive Legends to screens worldwide and put Westside Auto at the heart of WA's celebration of the automobile.
